Title: Canonical resolutions in hereditary abelian model categories.

Abstract: We will define what I mean by a canonical resolution of an object in any hereditary abelian model category. Following this idea essentially leads us to a theory of Tate cohomology relative to the given model structure. We will discuss the general theory and indicate with some specific examples.
